Meet Sean and Bethany

I recently got the chance to work with two amazing dancers - Sean and Bethany. They have been friends for years, dancing with the same troope. Sean just signed his first contract with the Atlanta Ballet. And Bethany has begun a new journey out west pursuing her dream in dance as well. They were both so much fun to work with. I hope they remember the little people when they make it big! :)

Time flies..

When you're having fun! This summer has been filled with great memories and good times. And now that all 3 of my kids are in high school, I've been putting things into priority. Things I want to accomplish this year. My photography is my passion and I am very eager to share it with others. As soon as we get over this heat wave we seem to be having, I can't wait to get out into the cooler fall weather and start snapping some Senior photos. Been thinking heavily about the NILMDTS organization too. And then of course in December, my daughter and I will both be participating in the Help Portrait movement... something we are both VERY excited about!!

Big things are comin..... can't wait !!!

Yesterday was my son's 19th birthday.... man oh man where does the time go. I've seen him go thru so many amazing trials and tribulations. I am looking very forward to him finding his way in this wild and crazy world we live in .... and watching him grow into an even more amazing young man.

Digging in deep

Seems lately my days are becoming pretty mundane. Up at 7:30-7:45, walk dogs, feed dogs, wake child, feed child, get child off to school, walk dogs, surf internet, answer emails, harvest Farmville ( yes I've gone to the Darkside!). Then around 4ish the dogs go crazy, child comes home from school, D comes home from work, feed dogs, feed child, feed D, watch TV, lather rinse repeat and get ready for bed to start all over again tomorrow. Yikes!

My photobug is itching to be busy again. I've done some headshots and personal photo shoots here and there. But I want more. I want more memories. I want more shooting. I want more evidence.

One of the goals I have set for myself this year is to try truly pursue my certification to photograph children with special needs. It's something I'm passionate about and really want to puruse. My list of 'wants' this year is getting longer by the day, but this is definately at the top of the list.

I wanna shoot people. Who's game!

Winter comes to GA for a visit

Seems Mother Nature hit the snooze button on the wintery weather for Georgia... but it sure was pretty while it lasted.

Happy 2010

After being let go from the corporate world in November of last year, I now have the time to focus on my passion - photography. There are a few irons in the fire for upcoming projects. I just have to stop being so timid and jump into this dream with both feet. I'll be reading and researching, shooting and editing, and dreaming much much bigger than last year.

Here's to bigger things in 2010!

I can't take credit for this one. This was taken by the creative and inspiring eye of my 16 yr old daughter. I wish I had been given a fancy camera at her age and discovered my passion at a much earlier age so I could expand on it like she has... She amazes me!
